Sian is a talented and versatile lead singer, with years of professional experience in bands and theatrical productions. Her strong vocals are at the centre of the Mixers sound... just don't mention the elf costume!
Leanne sings pitch perfect lead and backing vocals. Leanne and Sian, with help from Chris and Tom, get a great vocal harmony sound which really makes the Mixers stand out from the crowd.
Chris cut his musical teeth during the Britpop boom in the mid-1990s. Now he’s older, wiser, and greyer, but he’s still singing and playing rock-steady rhythm guitar. Chris plays Fender and Aria guitars through a Marshall amp.
Classically trained, Tim plays a Korg Kronos 2 keyboard and synthesiser, ensuring the band can cover a broad range of material with an expansive sound. And then there's the wireless keytar..!
“Sensible” Steve has played drums for most of his life, specialising in punk, ska, and 2 Tone. Steve plays a vintage Ludwig kit, and is the rock of the band. He did make a mistake once – in 1993.
Bass players are meant to stand at the back and look moody – not Tom. This cheery chappy keeps the rhythm tight, fills out the backing vocals, and belts out the odd lead vocal too. Tom plays a Washburn bass through an Ashdown combo.
